SCA Cut and Thrust Combat is a form of historical martial arts that focuses on the use of swords in both cutting and thrusting techniques, simulating historic fencing styles. Participants wear protective gear and use steel or blunt swords designed for safe practice.
This style blends precision, agility, and historical authenticity, drawing from fencing traditions of the middle ages and renaissance. With an emphasis on skill, control, and technique, Cut and Thrust combat offers a challenging and immersive experience for those interested in the art of swordsmanship within the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA).
